What is agility?

Agile development and related methods are a commonly used way of working in the software industry. The basic idea of ​​agile development is to focus on providing the customer with "added value" as quickly as possible without losing quality.

Agility refers to the effort to embrace constant change as part of development work and project management. In a traditional project, the aim is to identify the target space accurately and anticipation takes place already at the planning stage. The goal of an agile project is to adapt to change and act on the feedback received. In modern operating environments, the customer’s desires or goals can change more than once and this requires the ability to change direction as needed. As a result of the project, something may arise that may not correspond to the result sought in the initial situation, but when completed it will be closer to the customer's wishes. The produced entity in an ideal situation is a more useful project output for the customer.
